I also got 1 monster mesh pe2-4, so far no problem for me, maybe the ways of using, method no right and cause it broken or careless of storing during transfer place to place.

BRO! Mind to share how your rod breaks? What method did you use for fishing with the rod? I have seen many people buying Jigging Rod just to use for bottom. Please share with us the method, reel and line you use for us to refer so that we don't make the same mistake. thanks

its more of being lucky and unlucky at the same time hehe...
i paired my monster mesh pe2-4 with shimano biomaster 8000pg + 80lbs power pro line at that time

i was lucky because i hit a big 1 that time but not lucky cos i didnt manage to bring that huge 1 up and instead broken my rod. the rod already bending till touch the water. my reel break was already put to 5kg weight only. my line was going out un-contralable. there's no way to pump but to just release my line...

after it slowed down pulling the line then i start pressing more on the breaks and start pumping, but it only need to pull one more heavy strenght before my rod broke.

and that was it... i had to cut off the line before it ripped off my lines too. i manage to hold on to my other end of the rod, so at least can get it to claim warranty hehe

ohh talking about ppl using Jigging Rods for bottom use, not surprise... i used to do that too last time hehe...
i ever used my monster mesh for bottom too... just that now equipment enough for different type of fishing thts y i dun use it for bottom anymore hehe...

i've got a tenryu jigzam pe 3-5 which im pairing with either my shimano ocea jigger 5000 or shimano dendao maru 4000hp electric reel for my bottom fishing and sometimes for L-shape. so far the action from that rod whats making it fun to use hehe

wow, you are really daring! PE2-4 on 80LB line! hahaha.... i think a PE2-4 can take the max of 50-60LB, but 80LB is really too much for it to take i guess. next time prepare a handline core in case such incident happens again. maybe then you can try to use the core to coil the lines after your rod breaks and might still be able to catch the fish since you are using 80LB line!
