Thanks for sharing.It seems that English section is not that popular.
Many local Malay fishermen told me that "air sejuk tiada ikan". They have no equipments. They only put their hands in the water.If they find that the water is warm then they will throw down their drift nets.I wonder whether the local fishermen's belief is true.

fish move deeper while water get hot? is it mean fish like the cold water than hot water?

it just depending on the season,the story above is about summer fishing,in fall,fish react very aggresive when the sun is high.

Sorry, what I said was that some local kampung fishermen in our district believe that "air sejuk tiada ikan" meaning there is no fish when the water is "sejuk"(cold ?).I don't really understand what they said.

Normally certain fish like certain temperature of water, when the water go too hot then fish will move the the level where the temperature which it feel more comfortable. When the water is too cold, then the fish will be not active also.
Normally the fishermen say the water is cold no fish, that mean the water is colder then the normal temperature that it suppose to be, and there will be not much fish can get because of fish are not active.

Normally fishes have very strong teritory minded and will attack other creature try to go in to their teritory, make use on this is the only way to make them bite your baits or lures.
If bottom fishing then what can do is just wait for the hungry fish which still willing to move around looking for food.
